    Assalamu alaikum

Do you know if you can use the fat free milk powder?

    Wa Alaykumu Salaam
I have not cooked with fat tree milk powder, but you can test it to see how it comes out.

I have made this twice and both times it was a disaster. The first time I made it, it turned out weird because I used the fat free milk. I then bought the Nido and made it. It turned out like taffee…more like candy.

Do you have any idea where I went wrong? I am wondering if maybe I cooked it too long?

I was thinking that maybe the next time you make this…if you could time everything.

    Sis,

before adding the milk powder, heat the milk syrup to 230 degrees using a candy thermometer, then add the milk and stir until the mixture leaves the pan. then wait to for nice caramel color.

I have tried this way also and it did work.

    I hope this helps.
