Delicious creamy rice pudding, basmati rice makes a lovely texture for this recipe and flavors of cinnamon, vanilla and cardamom.
- ½ cup basmati rice
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 5 cardamom, crushed
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ cup raisins
- sugar to taste
- Wash the rice and place in a large pot, add two cups of water and let it boil slowly.
- When the water evaporates, mash the rice with a spoon, add two cups of milk, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and sugar.
- Bring it to the boil and let it simmer until it becomes thick add here the remaining milk and the raisins cook and simmer until the pudding is creamy and thick.
- Let it cool, serve warm or cold
