Creamy Pearled Barley Porridge

Barley makes an excellent healthy breakfast, this is a simple dish with full fiber.

pearled barley is  widely available, and can be found in your local supermarket, Asian stores, Halal shops, Whole food shops.

It takes about an hour to cook, depending the how soft or creamy you like,

Serve hot with butter, honey, milk, buttermilk, or yogurt.

Ingredients
    • 1 cup Pearl Barley
    • 6 cups of water
    • salt
    • Cinnamon
    • butter optional
    • milk
    Instructions
    1. In a large saucepan bring the water to a boil, add salt to taste add the barley, simmer uncoverd utill tender for an hour. Add more milk and cook untill reached disired consistency for a creamier barley.
    2. Serve with more milk, yogurt, buttermilk, butter and cinnamon to taste.

    2. Dabka kayara naaqus oo ilaa saacad karkari. Milix kudar markuu jilco.
    3. Saacadu marka aynay dhamaan hadii uu gudho caano kushub, kolba caanaha ku kordhi
    4. ilaa inta uu bislaanayo.
    5. Dusha qolofal budo ah kudar, badhar iyo sonkor ama malab kudar iyo caano dhay ama gadhoodh markaad cunaysid.
